Design services are individually tailored to each project and each client, but as a rule all follow a similar process:
During a design project, it’s vital healthy dialogue is maintained. So, to start as we mean to go on; armed with a good cuppa, we begin with a chat. A design brief containing instructions and deliverables is then produced. The brief is used as a guide and is referred to many times throughout a project.
An essential but often overlooked part of the design process is the discovery phase. A clear understanding
of you, your product, your customers and competition must be grasped.
Design when used effectively is a powerful business tool and will attract people to your brand. Effective design is both research-based and focussed on delivering the message in the best possible way. Content and message are key.
From the research findings a mood board is generated;
a collation of design styles from relevant third-party sources. Mood boards enable some quick yes/no answers, helping to establish an agreed direction for the next phase.
Initially one to three design concepts are produced. Design is very much a collaborative effort, combining knowledge of both designer and client. After discussion we select the concept which best answers the brief. Revision, amend, tweak, tweak, approve, sign-off.
Designs are artworked (prepared for print), printed and delivered to your door. Digital designs are coded up and uploaded to your web space.
There are four stages which are performed to complete almost every type of photoshoot:
Pre-production can be one of the most essential parts of photography as this is where the direction of the project is established. This includes deciding which look and feel is required to best suit the imagery’s intended use and which equipment and locations are needed on the day to make the shoot run smoothly.
Production encompases everything which happens during the day of the shoot. Professional grade equipment is used to achieve the best results and lighting is used wherever necessary.
Post-production occurs after the photoshoot and involves cherry-picking the best images which will be enhanced for delivery. Colour-correction, tone and exposure adjustments along with any retouching to remove blemishes to give a professional polished finish.
Shots are uploaded to a secure web space and are available for you to download. Alternatively, an image disc can be posted out to your chosen address.
